If you were absent on Week 7, or have misplaced your packet of worksheets that we put together, and would like to complete the work, email me at AnAndrews72@gmail.com. I should be able to send most of them to you in .pdf format. These worksheets were optional, but if you do finish them, bring them the next time we meet, and I’ll look at everything you worked on.
Meanwhile, here’s something I posted on the ODE Facebook page:
Beverly Cleary will be 104 years old on April 12. That means she has lived through many changes in the world including World Wars and The Great Depression, as well as advancements in industry, medicine, and technology.
Here is a link to a page that has two interviews with Beverly Cleary. If you only have time for one, scroll down to the second interview – it actually shows Mrs. Cleary answering the interview questions. She even reads from part of Ramona Quimby, Age 8!
When I was in college, I had a chance to meet Beverly Cleary. She was given an Honorary Doctorate by my school. Since we were the Senior Education majors that year, she visited our class. I remember her much like she is in the video – a serious person, but with a sense of humor.
I hope you all are well, and get a chance to Drop Everything And Read every day!
