There is no homework for the Dolphin Swimmers.
On Friday, we heard different versions of Hansel & Gretel, a fairytale by the Brothers Grimm.
We read versions by James Marshall (in a traditional setting) and Rachel Isadora (set in an African village).

The class spent the second half of the hour decorating their own paper gingerbread houses with markers and construction paper. We will display them in the classroom.
While the kids were working, they listened to a version of Hansel & Gretel as told by the witch: Trust Me, Hansel and Gretel are Sweet! (by Nancy Loewen)
