Last week in Literature, we read The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.
We set up chairs on a “train track” in the classroom, got our tickets punched by the conductor, and sat on the train to listen to the story.
Then we created our own engines out of construction paper - complete with cotton smoke and moving wheels. Hopefully you found them in your children’s backpacks.
They also brought home the coloring books that we created pages for the week before. I hope they enjoy the resulting product!
