Welcome to elementary music class. Our focus this year is to experience music in many different ways and to develop a variety of music-related skills. Through singing, playing, listening and reading, we will learn about the elements of music. We will learn about various styles and kinds of music and there will be many opportunities to participate in musical performance. We will learn how to read and write musical notation, learn about past and present musicians and evaluate musical form with varying structures. We hope to experience new things and learn together.
