Mina Wright
Mina Wright has an MBA from the University of Chicago; MS in biology from Northern Illinois; Medical Laboratory Technology certification from Rockford Memorial Hospital; and BS from Southwest Baptist University. With her love of animals and interest in science, particularly biology, God has led her on a very unique career path from chicken vaccine production with DeKalb Ag Research; veterinary diagnostics, lab management and research with all species including zebrafish, frogs, primates, and genetically engineered mice (worth thousands of dollars) at the University of Chicago and Loyola University; and working with exotics at Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoos. She is currently the caregiver of her son who has a very rare genetic disorder (only 300 in the world) and is enjoying using her science experience teaching ODE science classes. She is married to a radio engineer for WLS and has 3 boys, a mini golden doodle, a horse, lots of cats, 2 turtles, and a bird. Her other interests include music-saxophone, bike riding, horseback riding, and reading.
